Germany Accuses Russia of Drone Incident
German authorities have accused Russia of being behind the drone incident in
Leipzig,
claiming it was our drone carrying explosives.
But the whole story seems pretty murky to begin with.
They've already renounced the agreement on the Russian house and are moving to
close our consulate in Bonn. On top of that, just a few
hours ago,
Zelensky openly started threatening our aviation, claiming that civilian
aircraft have no place in airspace where Ukrainian drones are operating.
How would you comment on this?
First, regarding the
actions of the German authorities,
I believe this is primarily tied to their domestic political
situation. The
Chancellor's internal political standing is precarious, and he lacks the
trust of his citizens for obvious reasons, because he
isn't defending national interests.
He's trading them away.
Well, look at the glaring economic missteps.
Enterprises are shutting down, people are losing their jobs, and the
standard of living is dropping.
It's unclear why any of this is being done.
The only way to explain it to the public is by claiming they need to counter an
aggressive Russia.
But where is the proof?
So they planted the proof.
I would like to remind you that quite recently, a few months ago,
maybe a year ago at the most, the German authorities were accusing
Russia of blowing up Nord Stream.
Even back then, I was amazed at how such nonsense could even
enter
their heads, considering that we are interested in selling gas to Europe.
Even now, we would be ready to supply it.
All they have to do is push the button.
Well, just make the decision to push the button.
But they lack the backbone, or as we say, their gut is
too thin because of American sanctions, and that's all there is to it.
Fine. But now they have to explain the motives
for this kind of
behavior. Given their plummeting approval ratings
and upcoming
election campaigns in Saxony, for example, questions
naturally arise about the political future of Germany's ruling elite.
I believe this is primarily linked to that.
In my view, this is yet another mistake, a grave mistake,
and one that clearly runs counter to the interests of the German people.
Was the second part about the statement?
Zelensky claimed that it's unsafe for us to fly.
He's making threats.
Well, look, I haven't heard such statements, but
if that was said out loud, it's
simply a bid for state terrorism.
And I would point out that they are asking us to resume negotiations,
asking for personal meetings. We do not negotiate with terrorists.
That's the first point. Yes. And second, on this same
issue, if, God forbid, such tragedies do happen, we will
find a way to respond. Let no one doubt that.
