Understanding the Human Energy Field
The human energy field is described as a subtle energy
surrounding the physical body that radiates out five
to eight feet horizontally and two to three feet vertically
above the head and below the feet. While the biofield is
invisible to the human eye, it can be experienced,
felt with the hands either as hot or cold
sensations or the feeling of pressure or
lightness.
It can be mapped and seen through thermographic photography,
which sees a broader spectrum of light than the human eye.
In the 1990s, the term biofield was developed
by the National Institutes of Health, who described it as a
field of energy and information surrounding and
permeating the human body.
The term biofield brought a unifying concept and
a common language for both traditional and contemporary energy
medicine modalities.
Today, we know it is composed of both subtle
energy and
electromagnetic energy that surrounds all living
things. The meridians and chakras are also
a part of the subtle energy body. The meridians are the
energetic lines running through the body, starting at the
toes or tips of the fingers and traveling through the
body to the top of the head.
Chakras are spinning wheels of energy or energetic
vortices. While there are hundreds of chakra
locations, the primary ones are located in the
chakra channel that runs from below the feet along
the spine within the physical body to above the head.
The human biofield is a bioplasmic toroidal
field surrounding the body and contained by a double-layer
membrane made from light. This membrane is
designed to protect the biofield and the body from the
non-resonant energies we encounter daily.
It creates the container for our energetic field of
light.
When we are grounded to the Earth and connected to Source
Light and Soul Light, the energetic flow moves
through our central channel and around the biofield edge,
creating a flow of life-giving light that
revitalizes us, creates greater coherence within,
and resiliency of the biofield edge.
When we are ungrounded or the energetic connection to
Source and Soul Light is lost, the biofield
can become unhealthy,
thin, weakened, or fractured.
Tears, rips, or holes can occur in the outer edge.
Such conditions create the leaking of vital energies needed
to sustain ourselves.
Our energy loses its vibrancy and resiliency.
We are triggered more easily by daily challenges.
Extreme fatigue, energy vampires, and attachments
can occur on the biofield edge, and our
overall health and well-being suffers.
Outside influences affecting the biofield
include EMF influences and fluctuations,
cell phones, technology, microwaves, and radio
waves,
solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and
magnetic field shifting,
international air travel where the Earth has different grid
systems or hemispheres, toxins and heavy
metals from our environment and the food we eat.
These external influences weaken our biofield edge,
impacting the internal flow of energy in the central channel
where our chakras, meridians, and arteries are found,
leaving us ungrounded, anxious, or imbalanced within
the flow of our life force energies, both horizontally
and vertically.
Sleep disturbance or feelings of lightheadedness may
occur.
Internal factors affecting the biofield include
daily stress responses to life, negative emotions,
grief, depression, guilt, shame, loneliness,
pharmaceuticals, drugs, alcohol, physical stress,
shock, or traumatic experiences, surgery.
Besides water, our body is made of light.
Internal responses to outside experiences and events or situations
of stress or challenge cause a high emission of light out of the body
into the biofield, where they accumulate over a period of
time.
When we are in a calm or meditative state, very few biophotons are
emitted out of the body into the biofield.
