Chris Rock's Controversial Interview Reaction
Chris Rock is getting canceled right now by everybody on the internet for
making this confession during his recent interview.
This confession forced a lot of people to go back in Chris Rock history
and dig up other instances that they believe prove that Chris Rock
is a
terrible human being. But here's the confession
that sparked everything
we currently see on social media today.
Uh, here's a weird thing.
Yeah.
His brother used to plead with me to pay for a lawyer
for Roger, and I never did it. I always had, like, a no
lawyer thing, 'cause a lawyer is like an open-ended
thing. Like, I'll pay your mortgage. I'll p- whatever. I'll...
There's a bunch of I've paid for, education, all sorts
of... I always stay out of lawyers 'cause it's
so open-ended, and I'm,
I'm st- it still me. I was like,
I had the means to help him,
and I didn't, and I don't know if we could've got him out or not, but
still. Uh, so all that to say is I'm
Black.
Black men get accused-
You gotta be on the spectrum to think it's a good idea to reveal this information
to the public. Do you not understand this makes you look
like the most garbage
human being to ever live?
Now, it's one thing if you say, "Hey, man, I don't help people out.
Hey, man, I don't give money," you know, whatever emergency you
guys might, like, may have, don't ask me for nothing. But you said,
"No.
If they would've asked me for rent money, I would've paid it.
If they would've asked me for college tuition, I would've paid it.
But they asked me for the lawyer, and I said no, 'cause I don't do lawyers."
Folks began to try to find out why do people feel like Chris Rock
don't rock with his brother. What has Chris Rock done to his brother to
make people
feel this way? And they came across this particular clip
of Chris
Rock brother, Tony Rock, and he's speaking on him receiving
opportunities from his brother, and how his brother have
essentially done everything in his power to not put him on and to not
work with him, and he never understood why his own
brother won't throw him a
bone by putting him in one.
So that night, I walk in the comedy cell. He goes, "Yo, I got a movie.
I'm putting you in it."
Now I gotta do my due diligence. Okay, who do I have to call?
Do I have to audition? Do I have to send a tape? "No, you good.
You good.
You good."
Mm-hmm.
"Uh, we shooting in New York too." I'm like,
"Bet. Summertime in New York.
I'ma be in New York for the summer. I'ma be home shooting a movie with my
brother
for the summer." I'm beyond excited. It don't get no better than this.
I'm thinking, it's another, this is another one of those things where
people never
know how close you are.
Right.
So, it's New York.
Everybody that's a, that's s- a stand-in, I know.
Mm-hmm.
Everybody that's background, I know.
Know everybody.
So I'm on tour, waiting for the phone call.
Tell my management, tell my agency, "Yo, once he calls, we gonna pause the tour and
go shoot the movie." "Yeah, bet. We ready." And I start getting phone calls
like,
"Hey, I'm on set. Where you at?"
I'm like, "What you mean you on set?" "We, we started shooting today.
Today was the first day." "Oh, . I, I didn't get a phone call."
A week later, some , "Hey, babe, where you at?
I'm, I'm doing background on this club scene.
Are you here?"
"What are you talking about?" "Yeah, we, we shooting.
We s- the Top Five is, is up and running."
Like a month in.
Two months in,
I get a phone call. "Yo, you at the wrap party?
We here."
Oh. Oh.
Damn.
Yo, bruh, that
crushed me.
That-
I say Chris Rock is on the spectrum, man.
Now, I don't know if the spectrum diagnosis
is an excuse for Chris Rock being
terrible, but y'all let me know in the comment
section, bruh. All right?
Y'all let me know what y'all think about this.
Do y'all-
