Effects of Magnesium on Cognitive Function
It was a double-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial,
literally the strongest
type of study you could do. And they gave half the
participants magnesium L-threonate.
And that particular form of magnesium readily passes the
blood-brain barrier, so it rapidly increases
neuronal magnesium stores. And so reflective
of increasing brain magnesium is
increased cognitive capacity, reaction time,
uh, cognitive processing. And in that, they found that
that increase in cognitive, uh,
capabilities from the magnesium
L-threonate, uh, is the equivalent to your
brain performing seven and a half years younger.
Magnesium is critical for thousands of cellular and
enzymatic processes in the human body,
specifically in the brain, right?
Your brain needs magnesium. The neurons need
magnesium to carry out their functions
adequately
