Student Delegation to Cuba for Solidarity
Hi, I'm Alice, and I'm a representative on the
Academic Senate at the University of
Genoa.
I'm Lorenzo, and I'm a student representative for mathematics at Unibo.
Hi, I'm Fabrizio, and I'm a representative in the
Department of Legal Sciences
at the University of Bologna.
And we're here in Havana.
These days, Cuba is celebrating the centenary of Fidel's birth
Castro, and for the occasion, together with many young people and students
from around the world,
we representatives of University Alternative traveled to Cuba as a
delegation.
In recent months, we have organized within our universities collections of
funds, medicine and technological equipment for Cuba,
in which
students, collectives, workers and professors
from Unibo took part. In our capacity as representatives, we brought
Alternativa's
motions calling on our universities to take a stand against
the criminal U.S. blockade and in solidarity with Cuba.
Finally, in recent months we mobilized throughout Italy, demonstrating
that students stand with Cuba, with socialist Cuba and its
path of resistance and self-determination.
Cuba is the world's most supportive country, which throughout its history has sent medical
brigades to 165 countries and contributed
to the literacy and development of dozens of countries in the Global
South. We are here to return Cuba's
solidarity
by delivering the medicines we collected over the past few months.
Cuba calls, we set off.

E siamo qui all'Avana.
Cuba chiama, noi partiamo.
