Discussion on Womanhood and Identity
I think I understand now why cis women get so uncomfortable
by the existence of trans women.
Because my existence reveals a fundamental truth
about both of our connections with womanhood and femininity.
And that is the truth that womanhood
and femininity is a performance.
It's a costume.
It's a thing that you get up and wear and do.
No, sir. You actually don't understand.
And it's not cis. It's just simply woman.
Womanhood is not something you just take on and off
and put on like a costume or a performance.
See, womanhood is not something you get up and do.
A woman is something you either are or aren't.
And sir, you are not a woman.
Even the most tomboyish woman is more of a woman
than you will ever be, even on your most feminine days.
There is no connection.
See, the reality is we're uncomfortable because you are the epitome of misogyny.
We're uncomfortable because you try to replace us.
We are uncomfortable around you because you try to undermine and gaslight us.
We are uncomfortable because you try to be us.
It's almost like those high school bullies that were notorious
for getting the exact clothing and buying things similarly to look like their victims.
Being obsessed with them so much so that when their victim got a new hairstyle,
the bully would also get that exact same hairstyle.
It's like this weird mental gymnastics where you hate someone so much
and you're envious of them and you then want to be them.
Us women are uncomfortable for every valid reason.
And stop trying to claim to be something that you can't even define.
Sincerely, a woman.
