I mourn And I lament, my master, I wish I had been

In Karbala, if only with my own life I had answered the call with my family I had

answered the call with my children, I had answered

I swear by the virtues of“ Say, He is Allah, the One”

At your service, O Husayn, with family and children, my master, if only Shimr

Had climbed upon my chest, then my mother would see me a head without a body,

then My mother would see me a head without a body

We have the inheritance

Even if Shimr kneels upon my chest my memory will remain, O Husayn, my master We

have the custom

That leaders are known at the frontiers, by their throats, O Husayn, my master,

Come on, do not get tired, God willing, all of us for Arbaeen this year

Husayn my master, Husayn is an inheritance

To your station I journey by night, it is not

Just a grave, if it had not

Spoken my secret, I would see you

By my condition you would know, and you would mend my brokenness

And you would accept my excuse and set my affairs right

My inheritance from al- Himyari and al- Khuza‘i and al- Kumayt is that mourning for

you gives life To a nation in a house, O master of martyrdom, O source of life

How can you be dead, when the martyr is not dead, how can you be Dead,

when the martyr is not dead

Master of love, reliever of distress

Master of love, reliever of distress

O captive of tribulations, O Husayn my master, deed and thought,

heart And the lesson, O captive of tears, O Husayn, my master,

O one slain by tears
