Conflict and Resilience in Israel
On October 7th,
it felt as if I was in one of those apocalypse movies.
There were hundreds of Israelis taken by this terrorist group,
Hamas.
They had people on hang gliders. There were on scooters. There
were bulldozers.
This is not a drill. People came to kill us.
And then in solidarity with Hamas, Hezbollah starts firing rockets into
Israel.
Hezbollah brought war.
My country is fighting for its life.
The situation in Northern Israel was desperate.
We will not accept a terror army perched on our northern border.
We discovered Hezbollah instructed operatives to use only
pagers.
So I said, "We have to turn this pager into a bomb."
And I said, "Okay,
go ahead. Sounds good."
Thousands of pagers belonging to Hezbollah simultaneously exploding.
12 hours after the first shot was fired,
the entire army was already fully mobilized on the north,
and I didn't know if I
was gonna come back.
We were trying to dismantle Hezbollah from afar, part by part.
Hamas committed the worst savagery against the Jewish people since the
Nazis.
But we saw the resilience of the people of Israel.
This was the greatest intelligence supply chain operation in
history.
