Reflections on Playing Loki
I could see them all below me at the top of a big staircase, and Aaron Moorhead and
Justin Benson had given me this amazing instruction.
They said, "We're gonna be ready for you in about 45
minutes.
Why don't you go and sit in your trailer and just have a think about the journey
that it's taken to get here for you."
Of course.
Not for Loki, but for you.
Wow.
And I sat, and I, and I thought about the 15
years that it's been, and the people that I've met, and the actors,
uh, uh, that have become my friends, and the directors and the crew members
and the
experiences, and the joy and the, the
shared challenge and the rollercoaster of it.
Um, I thought about Kenneth Branagh, I thought about Chris Hemsworth,
um-
Hmm
... all the original six Avengers, um, every director, every
crew member, every costumer, every makeup artist,
um-
Wow
... there's some people I'd worked with.
And I came back to the set and I felt like I was just like, this
was the end
of that moment. And so what you see really is,
in that moment is I, is, you know, of course I'm playing Loki, and Loki's
holding all the timelines together.
But at the same time,
I, I owe a great credit to, to Justin and Aaron for asking me to do it.
In my own heart, I'm,
I'm holding all those people in, in my mind.
You know, Loki's sitting alone at the end of time,
but I'm sitting here with
all of you.
Mm.
Um, so be in this, be in it with me
