Discussion on Israel-Palestine Conflict
We're agreed, we three are Jews, aren't we?
Are Jews.
We are.
We're agreed.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah, we're agreed.
Yeah.
The complete decimation of a whole area.
When you see these aerial shots, nearly every single building is
flattened. The justification for bombing every single
building.
W- where, where, where is that? I mean, I just-
Yeah
... I can't even find it in the normal sort of
justifications bit.
It's so huge.
Some people living in the tents, and then they fire, they sh-
they send drones-
They queue-
... and bombs on the tents.
They queue for food, and they're bombed queuing for food.
Shot, yes.
How is that possible?
You don't protest against this, if you are neutral on this, then fuck you.
You're not a, you're not human.
You're not hu- you're not human. No.
They say, "Look, Iran is trying to get-"
Yeah
... "nuclear weapons." "Excuse me, Israel, have you got nuclear weapons?" "That's
another matter. We can't answer that question." "Iran, are you, uh,
do you let
international inspectors come in and see whether..." "Yes, yes,
we do." "Israel, do
you allow international inspectors to see whether you've got nuclear weapons?" "No,
we don't."
I don't believe in a Jewish state.
I just don't.
Mm.
I think that people who live there, live there.
Well, that's the transgressive bit.
That's the bit you see that y- in the Constitution.
It says, "The Jewish state is for the self-determination of the
Jewish
people."
Yeah, well, I don't accept that.
And that's what they've-
And I think that should be
struck out.
Yeah.
Struck out. Not-
Yeah, you're draw- redrawing the map and saying, this could be a secular state-
Of course
... in which everybody, everybody could live.
But you see, it's quite interesting, you know, when we're challenged
and they say,
"Do you believe that the State of Israel should exist?
Yes, no, quick answer." And I w- I often say, "Well, no state has the
right to exist. It doesn't exist as a thing in United
Nations
international law." And ironically, just right at this very moment,
there's Lebanon, that's a state, and Israel is taking over
a chunk of that state, so clearly the state of Lebanon doesn't
have the right
to exist, and yet Israel says, "We have the right to exist."
When you go to Israel, and you see, as I, I went
in 2012 was the last time I was there, and you
see how Palestinians are treated.
Mm-hmm.
That, for me, was the door opening,
the, the, the, the blind being lifted, and I saw
if people can treat people like that, they are
shits, and th- what they do and say
cannot be accepted, cannot be believed.
I saw it with my own eyes, and I will never
get over that, and that's when I became fiercely
pro-Palestinian.
Extraordinary thing.
The whole conduct of, of Israel
since its founding has been disgraceful.
Yeah.
Absolutely disgraceful.
Yeah.
And where are people's, where is people's morality?
Well-
I, I, I, I think that, uh, the Christian
communities in, in America
are utterly disgraceful.
To me-
What I want to know is how can,
um, let us, let me say British Jews,
how can they accept the, the, the
cruelty, the, the, the sh- the, the wickedness of
what's being done?
Far be it from me-
How, how can they?
Because they say needs must and the ends justify the means.
But how can they accept that?
No, means justify the ends, whichever way around.
How can they accept that?
Unjustified. See-
To me, that's disgusting.
I mean-
