Discovery of Possible Noah's Ark Site
Noah's Ark, as drilling is underway in
Eastern Turkey at a remote site where a boat-shaped
mound was discovered.
In archeology, you deal with probabilities,
and we're inching
towards where we believe we will have confirmation this, uh,
winter after our soil analysis is done with, uh, Sivas
University, who's our partner in this.
Archeologists that are looking to prove skeptics wrong hope
that the soil
analysis will help determine whether there are signs of human
activity or materials consistent with decayed wood
beneath that formation, ultimately proving that it was the final
resting place of Noah's Ark described in the Book of Genesis over
4,000 years ago. And those are your headlines.
So you guys, you may not know this about me,
but I lived in Turkey for three years.
Really?
My father was in the military. And my parents were amazing.
They'd take us out of school and on all these
amazing adventures and trips around Turkey, especially
in this part of Turkey, because this is where the early Christians
were as well.
Mm-hmm.
So there are... It, it's not surprising to me that, um,
this could
actually be the site o- of this, um, of, of Noah's Ark.
Was there talk of that when you... Did, did...
Do you remember growing up and-
No, I never remember hearing about this.
But I did take a tour of all the seven churches.
Th- Mary's home is in Turkey. That is where St.
John took her and, and, um... So there's just a lot in Turkey-
'Cause it, because it's-
... of Christian history. It's amazing place.
'Cause it's kinda neat because, uh-
It looks like it, right?
... a site like thi- Yeah, a site like this, which is, uh, looks,
you know,
terribly remote to us, there are people that live somewhere around
there.
And it's always fascinating to me how you can have some ancient
discovery like this, and there are people who are locals-
Sure
... who live, you know, within, you know, 100 miles of the place, that have been
talking about it forever and b- been, like, speculating.
"We wonder if this or..." And with modern technology, the things...
And it's advancing as fast as AI and everything else.
With m- uh, the ability to do this analysis and
determine whether that stuff dates back to then.
I wonder if drone technology-
Oh-
... helped them see that shape
... 100%
... right?
100%.
So-
I think, I think it's the, the advancement, though,
in the technology, like
Charlie's talking about. It, it's remarkable that we probably
have the actual forensic DNA type-
Yeah
... stuff to real, to, to prove-
Oh, yeah
... that in fact this actually was it, if that's the case.
Well, we'll know after-
Yeah
... this winter.
The, the, the-
That's what they say
... the m- mapping drones are changing everything-
Absolutely
... with, in archeology.
For good or bad.
Well, no, but in archeology it's awesome.
Yes, in archeology it's great.
It's, like, astounding. All right, this week marks three years since the
October
7th terrorist attack-
