Crisis in the Catholic Church
God's inscrutable providence allowed
it
that we are witnesses
of an unprecedented crisis of the
church.
A hostile takeover within
the strategic
administrative structure
of the Catholic Church,
which is marked
by the spread of not only poisonous
doctrinal ambiguities,
but even by brazen heresies in the
ranks
of the high clergy:
a phenomenon which
in some cases comes close to
apostasy even.
Our Lord and His holy apostles used
and understood the world,
world, the word world
as human society
or culture
and their values organized
independently of God
and hostile to Christ, the incarnate God.
This is the world.
And so,
in His high priestly prayer,
our Lord said to His disciples and hence
to His church
that
His church is not of the world,
even as He Himself is not of it.
And St. James
left to the church for all times this admonition:
"The friendship of this world is
the enemy of God.
Whatsoever therefore will be a friend
of this world becomes an enemy of
God."
James four:four.
