Building and Testing a Dynamo Machine

To complete our machine, we'll couple this one kilowatt dynamo.

We mount the dynamo to the frame,

install the pulley, and secure it by tightening these bolts.

Now, using this drive belt, we connect the flywheel to the pulley.

The machine is finished.

For the test, we'll use this panel with eight sixty-watt

bulbs,

connecting them to the dynamo via an electrical strip.

The flywheel's inertia maintains angular momentum despite the

magnetic drag from the dynamo.

Let's measure the dynamo's output voltage.

We're getting one hundred and ninety-five volts of direct current.

The voltage holds steady.
