Coaching Philosophy in Football
And overall for me, it's very important that players,
and that's also
my philosophy, that players understand the game.
I want that I have players on the pitch who really understand
situations, and therefore I want to teach them.
I want to teach the players that they understand this. How do I do it?
It's educating them with my principles.
So I don't want that I teach them by my patterns, play from A to B, from B to C.
For that, like, I think football is too complex and football is getting too
complex. I really want to teach them by the
principles.
And with these principles, they should find solutions on their
own. They should find solutions in, in tight spaces when opponents
press high, when opponents stand low.
And therefore, I really want to educate the players and,
uh, make sure that the
players understand the game, because it doesn't help me as a
coach when I know the game plan. The players have to deliver it.
The players have to feel comfortable in this game plan, and that's why I
really want to have, like, players who understand the game,
and that's within my
identity and my style of play.
