Ibogaine for Lyme Disease and Parkinson’s: Claims and Early Research

Have anybody made claims about, for example, Lyme disease?

Uh, yes, sir. I, I'm aware of individuals who, um, are functional and are living lives that are normal because of their receipt of Ibogaine.

Um, I'm not exactly sure the way in which it has been administered, whether they received what's called the flood dose first, followed by regular administration thereafter.

But there are some individuals that I have spoken with who have, uh, said, you know, "Ibogaine is saving my life every day because I was debilitated before I received it." I've heard the same from Parkinson's patients. Uh, the one qualifier about, uh,

applications to Parkinson's is based on the small studies that have been done, the variety that is rooted in genetics appears to be far more responsive to the administration of Ibogaine than the version of Parkinson's that is derived from exposure to environmental toxins. That second category is one that does not respond as well.

But again, we're on the frontier of research, and there are genetic questions involved. Uh, there are ways perhaps to modify the molecule that could, uh, overcome some of, uh, the lack of efficacy for other conditions that don't respond naturally.

Uh, it's a, it's a brave new world in the most literal of senses when it comes to what we can potentially do here.
