Why Letting Go of Attachment Can Help You Reach Your Goals
Have you ever realized
that life works in reverse?
The moment you stop wanting
something, somehow you just get it.
The moment you stop trying to chase
somebody is when they text you.
The moment you stop
obsessing over an opportunity,
it just comes knocking at your
door. The moment you stop trying to be liked by
everybody, everyone suddenly likes
you. And I think there's a reason for that.
When you desperately want something,
then your entire state of being becomes,
"I
need this." And I think that
desperation creates an attachment to
that thing.
You're constantly thinking about the outcome.
You're trying to micromanage how
that particular thing will go,
and you really do
think that your entire life revolves
around that one particular thing, and that
creates a toxic attachment to that incident.
But the moment you become
okay, even if that thing doesn't happen, is
when things
shift. Your whole energy is now transformed.
You stop forcing, you stop chasing,
you let things flow naturally.
And ironically, that's when
life gives you what you want.
And that's exactly what I mean
when I say life works in reverse.
You get all of the things that you
wish for the moment you stop
feeling the need to
have them, aligning with the future version of
yourself every single day.
And that's exactly why there's a
version of you within you with the same
circumstances you have right now that's
succeeding at literally everything,
because
they've detached themselves
from what they actually say they need.
And that's exactly why I use my
future self afirmations.
You put in your goals, and
it tells you exactly what you need to
do every single
day to get to that goal.
And I think this is a lesson for all of
us.
We need to change the way
that we look at our goals,
the way we look at our
aspirations. We need
to create detachment between
ourselves and the things that we
have in our mind, and then
just see how those things fall
into place
