Original transcript (English)
We all want low energy costs to help support economic growth and the opportunity for good jobs. That is why Invenergy is building Windcatcher in Oklahoma's Panhandle. Windcatcher will be the largest wind farm in America. We are proud to be working with leading industry partners.
The 2,000-megawatt facility located in Texas and Cimarron Counties in Oklahoma will generate power from 800 GE turbines. The opportunities that the Windcatcher project is bringing to our community is above and beyond the measure of bringing finance to our school or jobs to our community. It's bringing our county back together.
It's going to boost the economy to all of our schools. It's going to give jobs to people in our region. This size of project with Invenergy and Windcatcher is tremendous. And I don't think people have really sat down and let it soak in the tax structure that it's going to set us up in to help with this county and our school systems.
Windcatcher will span over 300,000 acres and support generational family farms, providing extra income for landowners. The Windcatcher project is very exciting from a standpoint of the influence that it's going to have on this farm and the future of it and the future of my family. It's just great to be a part of it.
