Stretching Techniques for Back and Lats
My name is Pink and I'm really glad to meet you.
You're recommended to me by some people.
Hey
You can do that stretch two different ways depending on if you want to hit your
thoracic spine mid-back or your tight lats.
Now this way is how you'd bias the thoracic spine.
With your elbows up on a box, you're going to drop your chest towards
the ground.
Take a deep breath out as you do this and you should feel a good stretch in your
mid-back. Now, if you want to hit your tight lats,
here's how you do it
differently. Your elbows are going to be in a V position.
The lats internally rotate the shoulder, so you're going to externally rotate the
shoulder and then you're going to round your upper back like this as you sit
back. Now this should bring a stretch out
if done correctly in your
lateral armpit region when you go down.
So not a mid-back stretch, but a lateral armpit stretch and that
is where the lats
run. Try this for five deep breaths in and out.
