Discussion on Academic Misconduct Accusations

Okay. Some of these issues turn out to be true,

as I will

discuss. Others may be questionable.

All of these accuse

more than twenty or twenty-five former

trainees or current trainees

of, um,

being basically, um,

committing misconduct.

Um, so

I wanted to just go into some of these things because

it's important to know what these actual accusations of a lack

of integrity are like. So for example, this is a post from Dr.

Bik where she criticizes that I am a co-author on a paper

which appears to be

from somebody else's lab and says that I'm being an honorary

co-author. Um, it's a typical accusation

because being an honorary co-author, of course, is misconduct.

Um, this is also very interesting because the

actual person whose lab this is from, Dr.

Anton Maksimov, was a postdoc in my lab

and performed most of the

experiments in my lab. So this is a typical

example of trying to find something, anything
