NATO's Support for Ukraine Amidst Conflict
Good day and dobroi dnia.
Uh, dear friends, after eight years, the NATO Military Committee
comes back to Kyiv for an official visit.
But, uh, while we were not physically present here, Ukraine
is in our thoughts, in our discussions, in
our decision and following action every single day.
This visit fulfills the promise I made to the Commander-in-Chief of the
Armed Forces Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty, my good friend,
during our last conversation in August this year.
The NATO Military Committee's visits also follow the North Atlantic
Council visit to Kyiv in June.
Uh, we are here to... in full strength with a, a clear
message:
the bond between NATO and Ukraine is stronger
and stronger.
In facing Russia continued aggression U- against Ukraine
and its, uh, reckless hybrid activities in NATO
countries, we
stand unwavering with Ukraine in the heroic defense of
its sovereignty,
its territorial integrity, and the future of its people.
With me, 32 NATO military representative from each
NATO
allied nation to hear directly from General
Drapaty and his staff, the latest assessment of the situation,
uh, on the ground and what more we can do to
support Ukraine. Our presence here serves also the
duty to honor your brave nation's own soldiers,
and I particularly
think to those who have paid the ultimate
sacrifice or have been wounded in the line of duty
on the front line.
Ukraine courageous and resilient spirits remain
unbreakable and serve as an example to other nations.
An example that combines, uh, with all the lesson we
can learn from your commanders, from their experience, which
will ultimately help our alliance too, to better face
today's and tomorrow's threats. To,
to answer those who think that, uh, by perpetrating act
of sabotage, cyberattack, and violation of the
airspace in, uh, national, NATO territory, they
will undermine the support and our resolve, I will
respond, "You are failing."
NATO support for Ukraine continues to grow, and our unity is
stronger than ever. Russia bears full responsibility
for this dangerous and unacceptable behavior.
And allies will continue to sharpen their tools,
strengthening all elements of our deterrence and defense.
Дуже дякую.
Slava
Ukraini.
