Advancements in Brain-Reading Wearables
Wearable devices, so these are brain sensors
that are starting to be embedded in everyday devices,
but until now have been a number of niche companies
that really have focused on mindfulness and meditation.
The use of, for example, brain sensors
that can pick up electrical activity in the brain
at a pretty low resolution, but advances in AI
have both improved what the signal is
that can come from the brain,
and enabled the miniaturization of those products.
As a lot of the major tech companies
start to invest in these brain sensors,
it's a huge, I think, untapped market in many ways
of integrating them into everyday devices.
These are earbuds, or watches, or headphones,
and the soft cups around the ears.
Many of those products are hitting the market this year,
and others are hitting them within the next two years,
such that people can listen to music, a phone call, et cetera
while having those devices in ears.
Initially, what they will be capable of doing
is very high-level brain state reading.
Things like, are you tired, are you paying attention,
is your mind wandering, are you happy or sad?
They maybe enable interaction like up, down, left, right
for interaction with other technologies,
and they're being embedded into things
like virtual reality headsets.
Did you know Apple just applied for a patent
so that they can retrofit AirPods to read your mind?
AirPods, they're fitting them
with electromagnetic sensors.
Do you guys remember when we talked about
they could hook a brain machine up to a person,
and they could look at something,
and they could use AI to generate the picture?
So that technology, rather than a full helmet,
they have successfully mapped via sensors in AirPods,
they've successfully done the same thing.
So what they said, I was reading in neuroscience.com
or something like that, I was reading an article
and it said what they're able to do is read that sensor
and they said everybody's electromagnetic pulses
are different.
And so it's not just an immediate read what you're thinking
and then regurgitate it, it's a process of learning.
And so they mine and log all of the thoughts,
all of the pulses.
So they're basically like data mining your brain.
It's similar to like analyzing your behavior
on the internet, what you look at, what you save,
how long you look at something
and then feeding you advertisements
associated with this stuff.
We are literally creating the technology
to data mine your thoughts.
In the current headphones?
No.
Yeah, yeah.
Even the current headphones, can they do this?
No, but listen to this.
But they said, the article I found said
they did it successfully five years ago.
Weird.
Come on Steve.
You know how they like updated the iPhone 15 in France
with a software update so it wasn't spinning out radiation?
Oh yeah.
They probably can do the same thing with all their-
Can we fix the radiation?
Think about the iPhone, like the heartbeat sensor
and all that stuff, not the iPhone, the watch.
Stuff they're taking out.
Like this could be a behind the scenes,
like they're like, we don't like what you're doing
with the tech, so we're trying to shut you down.
And how is the easiest way to shut you down?
Not just by analyzing what you're doing with technology,
what you're looking at, what you're saving on social media,
what you're reposting and sharing with other people,
but to what you're thinking.
Apple has in fact filed for a patent last July.
Not recently, last July.
And we are just now starting to hear about this, that.
they could theoretically turn AirPods into a health device
to scan the electromagnetic activity in your brain
to read your mind, essentially.
Yahoo News is the only mainstream media outlet
that I could possibly find that was reporting on this stuff.
This image here that you're seeing on the screen
shows what they're trying to do to retrofit these AirPods
with the electromagnetic sensors.
So essentially they'll have sensors
all over the little earpiece,
like the external piece that you pop over it
that you put into your ear.
And there's also sensors going all the way down
into the AirPod as it hangs out.
But they're calling this,
at least in the very few media articles that I'm seeing,
a health device.
The same way that they read your heartbeat
through an Apple Watch,
or they scan your blood pressure through an Apple Watch,
or you have the health app on your phone
that syncs with when you go to Orange Theory class
or use a heart rate monitor or anything like that.
I would argue this goes far beyond the role
of a health device and is more of a mind control device,
but you guys can make up your own minds on that.
Electrodes in the housing of the earphones
would measure bio signals
and electrical activity from the brain.
That could include EEGs, electromyography,
and electrooculography, et cetera.
And again, here's that diagram for what that looks like.
Basically all around the AirPod,
there's going to be sensors
with both what's inside of your ear canal
and what ends up hanging out of your ear canal.
I haven't seen the New York Times
or the Wall Street Journal write articles about this,
and yet it's public, it's out there.
This is just readily accessible for anyone to find.
It's public record.
And they're essentially telling us
they've been doing this for years and years and years.
If you guys have never seen a patent application,
they are incredibly difficult to try to decode.
And if you don't read a lot of government documentation
to begin with, this might make your head want to explode.
So we're going to cover this very briefly.
But basically they're trying to perfect technology
that they've already been working on
and or create new technology that covers your headphones
in a set of electrodes that communicate with each other
and to something else.
Filed on July 20th, 2023.
In all of these different figures,
they're trying to explain where they are.
putting all of these sensors. And so you can see it literally covers the entirety of the AirPod
that will all be able to communicate with one another. Even on the little like rubber earpieces
that you put over the AirPod, there will be electrodes able to communicate with each other
and essentially to read your brain. So whether they're actually saying this in writing or not,
what they're telling you is not just are they reading your mind, not just are they taking the
data from the earphones that you're wearing to analyze what you're thinking about. After the
analysis, they process that data, they feed it into an algorithm and they push it back out as
an output, not just an input to the electrodes in these sensors to try to influence your thoughts,
your brain, your mind, your values, your opinions.
