Footballer on Emotional Award Win and Working Hard in Silence

Sounds crazy, to be honest. Uh, but sounds pretty good.

So, um, yeah, what a special night. Incredible, incredible feeling.

Still just trying to take it all in, really, and, um, but yeah, it just feels,

uh, feels really, really like a dream.

How did it feel when it, when your name got read out? The emotion.

Yeah, the emotion, just relief, joy, happiness, excitement.

Um, was so much waiting to find out a winner,

and in that moment it was, uh,

yeah, it was quite nerve-wracking.

So, uh, yeah, to have that kind of release

and then be able to share it with

everyone there in the,

you know, in the theater was, uh, was special.

Work hard in silence. Let success be your noise.

Is that about, you know, when you had all the lone moves,

sometimes knock-backs in

your life, and now look at you?

Yeah, it was, uh, it's a, it's a quote that I've kind of lived by

for a lot of my

career and, um, yeah, I think it sums up my story.

You know, I like to do the work behind the scenes.

Sometimes when no one's watching is the, the best time to improve and, uh,

you know, let, let everything else just, uh, you know, ex- explode on the

pitch and, um, you know, there's just no perfect, uh,

no better way to kind of

prove that than, uh, winning this award.
