Discussion on Yemen Conflict and Innocent Victims
You agree that the Sa-, the Saudis are killing innocent people?
No, I never said that. Where did the conflict begin in Yemen?
Where?
I don't know if the Saudis-
See, look, that's the problem. People don't even know where the conflict
started.
Yeah.
People don't even know how the conflict started. That's the problem.
Okay, do you know then?
People just read CNN or they listen to BBC,
and then they make a
judgment based upon that. The conflict in Yemen started by the
Iranian, the Shiite-backed militias
of the Houthis, who have a worldview of a Shiite
state in Yemen. Saudi Arabia got involved with other
countries, and even Western countries agreed with the
campaign at the
beginning. Going to the question when innocent children and
women-
And civilians-
It's a ridiculous question.
No, it's not.
It is a ridiculous-- Which Muslim would say
that they agree with the
killing of innocent women and innocent children?
It's a ridiculous question.
No, it's not.
It's a, there's a question and there's a kasb behind it.
I lived in Yemen.
You ever been to Yemen?
No, I've not.
I've lived there. I've lived in Saada. I've lived in Dhammaj.
I've lived amongst the Yemeni people.
So obviously, when we see our brothers and sisters even starving and
experiencing disease, it saddens us.
But you do understand it goes against the code of conduct of the prophet.
Listen, look, look. Wait, wait.
I'm just saying that.
Of course.
You do understand that?
But it, it wasn't deliberate, was it?
Was it deliberate?
It wasn't deliberate, was it?
How do you know?
I mean, obviously-
I, like, only I don't even know.
Akhi, listen, I go with the asr, the origin.
When I, when I'm dealing with my Muslim brothers
and sisters, that I believe that
the origin is that they would not target deliberately Muslims to kill them.
I go with the asr. Now, if you're claiming
that it's away from the asr,
""You bring your proof."" The asr with the Muslim
is husn az-zann. Have a good thought.
The Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wasallam, said, ""Suspicion is the worst lie."" Give
me a dalia that was on purpose. Also, ikhwan, barakallah fiakum, we are in a
time that is important for us to learn our religion.
Because with regards to what takes place in the world, we have to
judge it based upon Quran and based upon the Sunnah of the Prophet,
sallallahu
alaihi wasallam. If you don't have knowledge of the Quran
and the Sunnah of the
Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wasallam, then you are in danger of following your
emotions, then you're in danger of following other
people's agendas.
