School Shooting Incident and Legal Fallout
This is a teacher who was shot through the hand
and into the chest by one of her
young students. Let's see how that student is doing.
Why don't you want a fucking piece of me, bitch?
Stop.
Fuck you.
All right, let's leave the gun there.
I told the AP that there was a threat earlier about it.
That retired last year.
How old is he?
He is six years old, and I called 911 when I heard the...
I'm the reading specialist. I came down the hall. She had blood.
You know what she did?
Fuck you, bitch.
You got some small handcuffs? Just like that.
Where is the weapon?
It's on the floor.
It's over there, boy.
Stop. That's not how-
Fuck you.
That's not how we speak to each other.
Fuck you. Fuck you, bitch.
All right.
I stole that from my mom.
Okay, buddy.
What's your name?
If you want a piece of me, come get it on.
Nobody wants-
Bitch.
His mom is supposedly-
I don't care if you call backup. I don't care if I go to jail, bitch
... at a two 15.
Okay, buddy.
We know you know that language, and you know that's not appropriate. Mrs.
Kovak's not happy with that. Calm down.
Young man.
Oh, God.
Come here.
Boy, I can't wait to see what that fine young man
is going to contribute to society
one day. The teacher survived after two weeks in
the hospital.
That boy's mother did a fine job, didn't she?
Don't worry though, she came up with the worst excuse ever
real fast.
He has ADHD. Some are able to have it at a
very mild rate, but he's
off the wall. Doesn't sit still ever.
You feel that there is some racial component to it?
Absolutely. If the dynamics were different, if the teacher was
maybe looking like me and the student was Caucasian or another
nationality, it wouldn't be as
pumped up as much.
The mom pled guilty and was in prison until May 2026.
Parker is the former assistant principal from Richneck Elementary School.
Ebony Parker faces eight counts of child abuse with reckless disregard for
life. One for every bullet in the gun.
It began with Zawerna the morning of the shooting going to see Parker and
allegedly telling Parker the child was in a violent mood.
A short time later, two students told another member of the
school staff the
child had a gun in his bag. The child's backpack was searched,
but nothing was
found. The grand jury says Zawerna, still worried, told
colleagues she thought she saw the boy put something in his pocket, which was also
told to Parker. Still, no expansive search or pat down.
Then after recess, one of the boy's friends came up to
another teacher and
told her the child had a gun and showed him the bullets.
Boy, that assistant principal is screwed, huh? Not so fast.
A judge dismissing the charges against former assistant principal Ebony Parker.
The judge said that there were too many questions with the law
and the legality of
the indictments that were sent forth here.
Yeah, sure. I'm supposed to take seriously anything
said by a purple
lipstick judge? Well, I can tell you right now who the next
Supreme Court
justice will be if a Democrat is president
