Understanding Flight Paths and Earth Shape
Airplanes don't fly in straight lines on maps.
They absolutely do. On a, on a globe map, they don't fly in straight lines.
Flight paths looked curved on flat maps,
but in reality, they follow great circle routes, which
is the shortest
path on a sphere.
That's why flights go over places like Alaska or the Arctic,
because when you see a map that goes like this-
Yep
... like, why is the flight, why does the flight do this
and then it comes down
over here? Well, dude, because the Earth is curved.
They cannot fly straight is what they're claiming.
This is what they claim.
They follow great circle routes.
Let me show you this.
And on a flat Earth map, many of these routes would be impossible.
So let me, let me address that because that, that's important.
So this is from, uh, New Zealand to Argentina.
Now, on a ball, that would be the shortest route.
FlightAware says it is the shortest route, but the actual flight goes all the way
up to San Francisco, then over to Texas, and then all the way
back down, this big curve. But if we look at it on a flat Earth map,
all of those points are a perfectly straight line.
Now, the argument is flying from Santiago to
Australia
takes about the same amount of time as flying from, let's say,
California to Spain, uh, uh, which is half the
distance.
Brad, if you had to drive 1,000 miles and I had to drive 500
miles and we both left at the same time, is it
possible that we'd both get to our destinations at the same time?
Say that one more time.
You have to drive 1,000 miles.
Okay.
I have to drive 500 miles. We both leave at 9:00 AM.
Is it possible we could get to our destinations at the same time?
Yes.
How so?
Different speeds.
Yes. Southern flights fly faster. They fly higher.
There's 350 mile an hour circling winds up there.
But-
The Boeing 777 can fly 650, they admit, plus
350 tailwind, that's 1,000 miles an hour.
Yeah, but the, but the radar and the GPS, you're saying that's controlled, so that
doesn't count.
Satellites and GPSs would not work.
Satellites, s- GPS doesn't use satellites. It's a ground positioning system.
99% of communication goes under sea cables.
The GPS is just using the ground position system.
It used to be called, um, LORAN, and then they added a graphic
overlay when they took high altitude pictures of the Earth,
and they called it GPS.
Okay.
Every one of these, navigation, astronomy, travel, physics, all
align perfectly with a globe.
They do not.
There's no working flat Earth model that explains all of them at the
same time-
Yes, they do
... without contradictions.
So they make, they make that as a statement, as truth.
People accept it as truth when it's not. It's a false statement.
Yeah, when I dig in, you're, you are correct.
Uh-
Yeah
... th- these don't, these-
No flat Earther can explain sunset over the ocean.
I have 100 videos explaining flat Earth sunsets over the ocean.
Flatearthdave.com?
Yep.
Why do... I don't even wanna keep going because
you've already answered all these.
Why, why do flights in the Southern Hemisphere
work perfectly on a globe but break
on every flat Earth map?
Why does every Qantas pilot know that the Earth is flat and will admit it
privately, but they won't admit it publicly because
they want to keep their cushy
jobs?
Why is Earth's shadow always perfectly round during a lunar eclipse?
I went all over that. A round ball casting a shadow on another
round ball makes a
straight line. I know it's hard to conceive.
Go get a basketball and a baseball and get a light, set it up,
and watch what happens.
This one doesn't make sense. Why can you see farther
when you go higher?
Because the angular s- So here's what you can do.
Go, go to a Home Depot or a Walmart or whatever and put a stack of coins,
maybe, you know, an inch high on one, on, on the floor, and then throw some more
coins around it or Lego blocks or whatever.
Go to the far end and lay down and look. You won't be able to see them.
Ris- lift up your eye a little bit, and all of a sudden you'll be able to see
them.
They disappear from the bottom up due to the angle of your view.
Now people are like, "Brad, you're a flat Earther.
You just haven't admitted it." Guys, if I were a flat Earther,
I'd say I was a flat Earther, but I don't know that,
that it's a flat Earth.
But I would tell you that based on the, the, the, the, what I've
witnessed, I would lean towards flat. Why?
Because, because anybody that, and everybody that fucking
I approach with the globe thing, they give me some
smart ass, almost cynical answers, and they refuse to,
to, to debunk what you're laying out.
I don't know the facts. Like you say, "Well, we did a laser fucking
cross in the three holes." Right? That's what you said.
Yeah.
How do I fucking know you actually did that?
Then they say, "Well, what we did is we took the fucking guy up into
space and he jumped, and you saw it." And you know, well, that
was a fisheye lens.
Yep.
Who's telling the truth? I don't know.
And I'm just open enough to say I don't fucking know.
