Dr. K Brendan Kavanagh Explains Viral King's Cross Security Confrontation

Hi X, Dr. K here. I just wanted to come on and

briefly introduce myself because I put on a couple of extracts

from a video I did a while ago that's going a little bit crazy

at the moment

with my confrontation with the security guards.

So I just wanted to introduce myself and explain what was going on in those

videos.

My name is Brendan Kavanagh. My name is not Boogie Woogie.

Uh, some people don't know who I am. Um, I'm called Dr.

K,

or Brendan Kavanagh is my real name, spelt with a K.

Um, I'm called Dr. K 'cause I have a PhD in

Anglo-Irish literature. I'm over on YouTube.

uh, Boogie Woogie or Brendan Kavanagh Piano.

And what happened in those videos with the security guards is it

was a problem by the fact that the piano had wheels on and I had

moved it very slightly because there was a big audience,

and they couldn't really

see the keys. So I had moved it just a tiny bit,

and let's just say

they completely overreacted. And I think they, they

have a pretty boring job, and I think it was a chance for them to

wield their powers, to use their technology,

and they got very, very

overexcited. And I think that video is just a little metaphor, a

little metaphor of the kind of culture wars we're in at the moment.

So that's really the story behind the video. It was an overreaction.

Um, it was filmed in King's Cross in London.
