Analysis of Ukraine-Russia Conflict Dynamics
Look, I, I would tell Vladimir Putin, "Thank you very much.
It really helps us out good." But I'd look at the underlying motives
behind
him ar- arranging for diesel coming to the United
States in the
international market. President Zelensky in Ukraine has been
hitting
his refineries hard. He's been attacking deep into Russia.
I think this is one way for President Putin to try to get that pressure
off him, and maybe have the United States in the
nego- negotiations
that they're having this week with, with our, with our people,
and also with the
E3 NSAs as well,
which are Britain, uh, Germany, and France, down in Miami.
I, I, I really just don't trust President Putin
to say that he's doing it out
of the goodness of his heart.
Mm-hmm.
I mean, I, I would say thank you very much,
and he gave it to me.
But when you read people like Kirill Dmitriev, who's really an economic guy in,
in,
in Russia, I really don't trust him.
I think he's doing it for another reason other than just trying to get on the good
graces of Americans. But look, the targeting between both of those
countries
is different. When you look at Ukraine, they are targeting basically military
industrial complex. When you look at Russia targeting Ukraine,
they're
attacking schools. They're attacking churches.
And I mean, the targeting is a lot different, and I think Ukraine
is bringing the
fight home to Russia, and now the people of Russia
are starting to say, "Oh,
we've got a fight on our hands." Remember, Putin said this war was a special
military operation, gave it about three days to a week.
This is the fifth year, five and a half years-
Yeah
... they're into this war, and he's trying right now with a major
offensive to cut off the last piece of the Donbas in
Donetsk province, and I don't think he's gonna do it.
I've always said, "Look, why don't you just declare victory
and go home?" But he's
got a big problem, and his problem is he is not winning.
The Ukrainians have really put pressure on him.
Yeah.
And this is just another underlying reason why the Russians are trying
to say to the Ukrainians and the Americans, "Well,
stop attacking our
refineries." They're not gonna do that.
They're gonna keep attacking as they should. It's a military operation.
It's a war. They're attacking correctly.
