Potential Military Conflict Between Israel and Turkey
What would happen if Israel suddenly launched a massive attack on Turkey?
Israel would likely start with precision strikes using advanced fighter jets like
F-35 and F-16, supported by drones and electronic warfare
systems. The first targets would be air defense
systems, radar stations, and
key military bases to weaken Turkey's response early.
Turkey, however, is not an easy target.
It has a large and experienced air force, mainly built around F-16
fighter jets, supported by strong radar coverage
and layered air defense systems.
The moment any attack begins, Turkey's systems would detect incoming
threats. Within minutes, Turkish jets would be in the air,
intercepting and
tracking Israeli aircraft. Both sides have strong capabilities.
Israel has around two hundred thirty-nine fighter aircraft, while Turkey has over
two hundred fighters and a much larger total air fleet of more
than one thousand
one hundred aircraft. As the conflict continues,
both sides would target each
other's defense systems. Israel would rely on systems like Iron
Dome and
David's Sling, while Turkey would use its own air defense
network to block
incoming strikes. If major defense systems on either side
are weakened, it
creates open space in the air, allowing deeper and more aggressive
strikes.
