Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC

Xbox backward compatibility launches on PC for Xbox games are playable now.

This is Dave Aubrey at Video Games Chronicle.

Classic Xbox games are now playable on Windows PCs thanks to Xbox

backward compatibility on PC,

which launches today in an early release state. I'm gonna pause there.

Is it backwards compatibility if those games weren't, isn't that just porting?

Yes. Aren't we just porting old games? Yes.

Because backwards compatibility, I think,

implies that we're playing something that was on a previous physical system, right?

I mean. Are we just doing this for brand purposes? Yeah.
