Al-Qaeda’s Pledge to the Islamic State of Iraq

I had sent him, may God have mercy on him, a letter in Jumada al-Awwal, in the year 1435 AH.

In it, I wrote: I know how grieved you are by what is happening in Syria, and by the outbreak of blind strife there, and the disregard for the sacred limits of Islamic law, and the denial of established facts, such as the State's pledge of allegiance to al-Qaeda, and the deception surrounding it.

I pledge allegiance to you to hear and obey, in hardship and ease, in vigor and adversity, and even when others are given preference over us, And that we not dispute authority with its rightful holders, and that we speak the truth wherever we may be,

fearing no one's blame for God's sake, declaring the dissolution of all the groups we established, including the Mujahideen Shura Council, and on behalf of my brothers on the council, under the authority of the Islamic State of Iraq.

I praise and thank God for enabling His soldiers to take this blessed step, whose first fruits were the joining of more than thirteen factions and groups of jihadists under one banner, following their auspicious announcement in the Alliance of the Perfumed.

The second question: If there were two Islamic emirates Or are there two caliphates, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq, so are they two separate states?

Or are they under the rule of a single ruler?

More precisely, do the roles of Mullah Mohammed Omar or Sheikh Omar al-Baghdadi or Sheikh Osama bin Laden differ?

And what is the relationship between their roles?
