Traffic Stop Conversation with Trooper

Good. How you doing? Good. I'm Trooper McCoy with Utah Highway Patrol.

Sweet bike, man. I like it.

Thank you. The reason I stopped is for your speed. Just going a little quick.

I had my radar on. Initially I had you at 71.

By the time I locked in your speed, I did 69. Speed limit here is 55.

Where are you headed to? Huntsville. Okay, but not too far. Coming from? Draper.

Oh, shoot. Far. Dude.

I just rode like Immigration to Big Mountain to East Canyon.

Okay. Down through Morgan. Dang, man. Far, yeah. That's It's quite the ride.

All right, you have a license on you? I do, yeah, let me grab it.

It's in my pocket. How's your day been? You know, not bad.

A little bit cooler. It is, I'm a fan of it. What is this, this is a 400?

Yeah, it is. Heck yeah, dude.

Yeah, it's only 400,

but it can go almost anywhere I want, so.

Dude, I ride a 300, so I got you.

Oh, cool, yeah. I know they're smaller, but they can do it all, so.

A street bike or like a dirt bike? It's an R3. Okay, sick.

It's not that fancy, but it's a lot of fun. Dude, yeah, a bike is a bike.

Dude, if it runs, it runs.

What company do you use to insure the bike?

Progressive, I think.

Okay, I'm not planning on giving you a ticket because you stopped. Okay.

Is there anything on your

recent record that I'm gonna see speeding wise if I open it up? Nope, first time.

first time. Kick you loose with a warning if that's the case.

Wow, thank you. Yeah, thank you. Damn.

I wonder where that goes.

It goes nowhere.

So there could be some riding, but it could be private property, private road.

This is my second time being pulled over on my motorcycle.

First time was because I crossed a double yellow to pass somebody.

55, clocked me at 60, so 14 over.

Ha det bra!
