The Virtue of Soldiers Guarding the Borders and Prayers for Them

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.

There is no doubt that our soldiers stationed on the borders— may Allah grant them

success— are carrying out a great act of jihad in the path of Allah, sacrificing

themselves and their time to protect Islam and the Muslims after Allah,

Glorified and Exalted.

They expose themselves to danger,

so we ask Allah to grant them support, success, and right guidance,

and to strengthen them with His victory, success, and aid.

They are engaged in a great work, and they are in ribat

in the path of Allah, Almighty. And in the hadith:

a day and night of ribat is better than the world and all that is in it.

They should make their intention sincere for Allah,

Glorified and Exalted, in this work of theirs,

for it is among the best of deeds, if not the very best of deeds.

We ask Allah to grant them help, success, and right guidance,

and to heal their wounded and have mercy on their dead,

and to help their living to persevere

and continue in this ribat and jihad in the path of Allah. We congratulate

them on this stance and this work,

and we pray to Allah to aid them and accept from them.

And may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad,

and upon all his family and companions.
