Discussion on Beauty and Faith

Pope Leo is the only world leader that is

meaningfully talking about beauty.

I'm so excited to see this coming from

anyone, but specifically the Pope.

I've always maintained, this is really the crux of the whole

war on beauty topic, is that true beauty is something

extremely connected to God. It's intertwined with its

other values of truth and goodness, the three

transcendentals all together. These are things that point

to God. And with the secularization of our

society,

of course, in the past few years, but really in the past

centuries, we've really reached such a nadir

of ugliness in our present moment.

And I really only think that it is by a return to

faith, and specifically the Catholic faith,

that we

are going to have a real return of beauty.

So I'm really excited to see that Pope Leo is saying all of these

things,

and also advocating for the fact that the church should get back

into supporting institutions and artists, something which of course

birthed the great pieces of art that we still regard

as our best. So I've been talking a lot about the war

on beauty,

but I've been working on something in real life that is

fighting for the war on beauty, which is also soon going to

involve you, my audience, who's amazingly supported me

so much, and I'm really excited to share very soon

about what

that is. God bless Pope Leo. I'm gonna start calling him the Beauty

Pope, 'cause I think that is a really good title for him.
