Trump's Military Decisions in Yemen
It's been reported, um, that President Trump paused
a planned military offensive against the Houthis in Yemen
amid division among military leaders about whether to
join Saudi Arabia's attacks. It's believed the Saudis
wanted the Americans to launch a big offensive against you.
I- is that your im- I- is your understanding, that the
Americans were planning to do this?
And if that is the case, why do you think President Trump called,
called it off?
We need Trump to explain why he did that.
As for us,
we assured the world that we
do not attack Saudi Arabia or, or would, uh,
against, uh, the US, uh, the US, uh, the United States.
As long as they are not launching attacks against us, then we have no interest to
target them.
So
if they attack us, then this is what we consider a hostile attack,
and it's not
in... it's, uh, it's in interest to attack us.
We, uh, Isra- uh, the US administration, uh, is, is not interested
to en- enlarge or expand its attacks.
I think he works for his own interest.
He wants to save his face,
and he doesn't want to, uh, dig deep or, uh, uh, drown in the
region.
I- if he is still considering military
attacks against the Houthis, what
is your message to, to President Trump?
Our message to President Trump, we did not start
this war.
We, we are not targeting you. Our attack is against Saudi Arabia
that besieges Yemen. Anybody attacks us, then we
will defend ourselves, and they will cause more miseries.
We want stability in the region, and we want a total lifting of the
siege.
And he should stop waging wars in the region.
Even his, uh, war against Isr- Iran is an
Israeli-American war, and Israel dragged his feet.
It's not in his interest to continue this war.
So he,
uh, he is contributing to the prices, uh, uh,
skyrocketing. So we need to lift the siege.
We ha- we have been, we are... Actually, there is, uh, uh, the world's
largest, um, um, humanitarian crisis in the world. This
is what we want.
