Political Hypocrisy on the Left and Right: Truth Over Loyalty
The hypocrisy from both the conservative and the liberal movements is
astounding right now.
The left is outraged by the interview that was done by Sasha Riley.
But were quiet on Ashley Biden's diary.
The right is celebrating giving the middle finger to an auto worker,
angry when Joe Biden did something similar.
The right condemned the left for celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk,
but are now out here celebrating the death of Rene Good.
The left demanded Donald Trump's tax returns
but were mum on Hillary Clinton's emails.
The left wants the Epstein files because they think Trump is in it,
but they wouldn't talk about Anthony Weiner's laptop.
The conservative talking heads have decided that they're not going to talk about
either one of them anymore.
Problem with hypocrisy from new media on both the left and the right is that it
keeps people from waking up
fully and formulating their own opinions and theories about incidents that happen.
And I'm not really sure what you want me to do about that.
I could lie to you by omission and only focus on the positives like Benny Johnson
or Harry Sisson did.
I could put my head in the sand and pretend everything is great and that it's the
liberals or the fake news media that's the problem so I can preserve my following
and appease my base.
But what good does that do? Comfortable lies and fake unity is what got us here in
the first place as a nation and the only way to fix it is through hard truths.
And those hard truths people just don't want to hear. But I can't unsee
things now that I see them and it seems like I have to make a choice.
Do I cater to people's political loyalty to keep my base
happy and compliant or do I tell the truth and risk burning it all to the ground?
Luckily for me social media wasn't an easy road from the jump.
Between account and VPN bans, community guidelines violations,
going from app to app, it was the standard when I started so it put me in a
unique position where I don't live and die by the follower count.
I don't live and die by impressions, by clicks, by likes, by shares.
The creator money that I do make ebbs and flows and with that it never seems
to be reliable or even consistent.
So the bottom line is I have nothing to lose by calling it out even when it goes
against core political beliefs.
I strongly believe in the very near future that authenticity will be the
new currency.
And I have faith that even though things are unsteady now for myself and others
who are in my position, the pendulum will swing back in our favor as more and more
of the system turns to ash.
Maybe at the end of the day that was always the point,
not to stay blind loyalists to a political party but
to find your faith and use it to speak the truth so that others will do the same.
