Journey of Embracing Islam
Okay, Lawrence, you just accepted Islam no more than five
minutes ago. Can you tell us a bit about how you found
Islam and, and how you
managed to, to accept Islam? So, so sorry again. So introduce us.
Who is this?
This, this, this lady is,
uh, some-somebody I have known for nine years,
her and her family.
Her family have become important to me, and from them
I have learnt
slowly because, because I am a slow learner.
But I have learnt more about what it means to be a good, a
good person. But... Oh, sorry.
I've come to a halt. Can we, may we do a-
But you are a good person-
May we do-
... naturally.
I have been drawn to Islam
for a long time now. I started reading the Quran
perhaps about six or seven years ago with a view to try and find
loopholes to allow me to continue as I perhaps
was,
and realized there are no loopholes.
It is there on, on the page how a man should behave.
And the more I realized that, the more I
understood
that
this life
is one in which we will be judged at a time of
Allah's choosing. And Islam
has taught me
that I should try my hardest to be a good man.
I promise with my heart that I will do my best to be a good Muslim
and
to be a good person, to be a good human being.
Beautiful. Mashallah.
May Allah accept it from you, Inshallah.
Amen.
And may Allah make it easy for you to continue.
