Support for Anti-Apartheid Movement

We have received a wonderful support

from the people of Ireland

in the course of our anti-apartheid struggle.

We call upon them

to maintain that support,

in particular to maintain sanctions.

He was also introduced to some of the Dunnes Stores workers who spent

three years on strike, highlighting the apartheid system and the

importation of goods from South Africa into this country.

One of the Dunnes workers presented Mr.

Mandela with a message from the Birmingham Six.
