Discussion on Earth's Shape and Perspective
Let me throw a monkey wrench into your whole entire world right now.
If you believe that the sun setting over the curb of the earth is just enough proof for you
to believe we're spinning on a globe, on a sphere, on a giant ball,
then I really would love you to watch this.
Because I have a Nikon P1000.
I also have a pretty decent telescope.
And with a Nikon P1000, this is what a sunset looks like.
And it doesn't look like it's going over a curb to me.
When you zoom in, you can see that it's not going over a ball.
It's going out of our view.
Because as a human being, we can only see so far.
And most people don't realize this.
And I find it interesting that the average horizon,
and a horizon is as far as the eye can see.
It's when the ceiling and the floor come together and meet in the middle.
And anyone that paints or draws understands this.
Because in order to draw a horizon, that's what it is.
It's the ceiling and the floor coming together.
And an average horizon for somebody that's around six feet tall is only three miles.
So if you're looking out in an open area, like the ocean, for example,
the furthest you're going to be able to see is three miles.
And that's based on the location of the horizon.
It's based on perspective.
It's as far as you can physically see.
Now again, when you look at this and you zoom in,
you're seeing that it's not going over a ball.
It's going out of our view.
Because we are limited as far as we can view.
And that's it.
Super simple explanation.
We are not spinning on a magical ball.
That is totally, utterly ridiculous and insane to me.
Absolutely insane.
Laughable for so many reasons.

I love you all.
And this is my opinion.
