Foundation's Role in Israeli Society

And then the biggest foundation we have, which was set up by another forebear, Edmund Rothschild,

140 years ago, so it's the oldest one, in Palestine. That one, because Israel is still

a comparatively young country, that one has, it's firstly, and this is terribly important

for us as a family, it is for all the citizens of Israel. Because it was set up before Israel

itself was created. When my forebear set it up, we set it up for everybody, regardless of their

religion, of their creed, their lack of religion, their profession. And that informs everything that

we do.
