Analysis of Current European Conflict
This is the most dangerous historical situation since the end of the Second
World War. More dangerous than the Cuban Missile
Crisis, more
dangerous than Yugoslavia, far more dangerous than the war in the
Middle
East. And the European Union is steering into this war.
Europe is not equal to it, not financially, not
militarily, not mentally. That is pure madness.
Only one opinion is allowed, ours.
What the other side thinks must not even be taken note of.
In the European Union, you can be punished for trying to find out
how the Russians
think and what they say. Even if you believe planetary evil is
concentrated in Moscow, especially then, you must study
that enemy. That is not wanted. So we are in a
gigantic blind flight, into a war, into an abyss.
Part of my family comes from Germany.
My grandfather was a Swiss citizen living abroad, a professional
firefighter in Königsberg, the city now called Kaliningrad.
He told us about the British phosphorus bombs in 1944,
then the flight to Switzerland. More than 80 years later, we are
circling the same questions. Before the summer, I sat with a major
industrialist in Russia. He said the train has left.
He was preparing for a full war in Europe within six or seven months.
He saw no way out. Both sides are rock solid convinced
they alone are in the right. That mix is the most dangerous of all.
You cannot appeal enough for peace.
