Palestinian Refugees: Hostage Release and a Two-State Solution
Would you take in Palestinian refugees in Germany, children, families?
That is not up for discussion at all at the moment.
The point is that, right now, we must first of all get the hostages there freed.
Last week I had the parents and siblings of German hostages visiting the Chancellery,
who are still in the hands of Hamas terrorists.
That is now the absolute priority: that the weapons fall silent and the hostages are released.
And then a reconstruction plan for the entire region must be developed.
And then, in the long term, there must be a two-state solution.
The Palestinians need a homeland.
And that will also be an important part of the work that we can hopefully carry out there together, jointly with Israel.

Würden Sie in Deutschland palästinensische Geflüchtete aufnehmen, Kinder, Familien?
