Critique of American Ideals and Freedom
So if your target is Americans, you're doing soft power,
which is what the imperial planner Joseph Nye described as
getting people in other countries to want what you want.
But your latest video was on July 4th, and
it's a pretty savage critique of America's founding,
basically that it was founded on genocide, which is sort of an objective fact.
Do you think you could lose a segment of the American public
when you're actually going for foundations of the country?
And does that kind of mark a shift in
your messaging and your audience, like who you're targeting?
All right, then let me go ahead and initiate
a brand new conversation right here.
I've had this thought for a long time.
I was wondering whether I should say this to you or not,
but honestly, it's pretty upsetting that the American dream is over
and the United States has turned into a country that only has a big dream left.
I'm upset that some Americans might be offended by our content and take it personally,
but I'd like to ask them just once, in your opinion, after Khamenei and people like him, can the dream of freedom still survive?
Is there anyone who will grant them freedom for free and bring it to them
without any effort?
I have a question. What if Iran didn't exist?
How much could the American people really understand Palestine?
I'm not talking about who else besides Iran and Palestine is supporting them right
now. But if Iran didn't exist, how many Americans would actually wake up?
This is my criticism of Americans.
You are taking easy steps.
Compared to Mr. Khamenei, you are taking steps with ease.
But in my opinion, just talking about freedom is enough.
Once again, take action.
Don't just talk about freedom together.
Your gathering should embody freedom.
If you really want to make a difference, the first step is to even talk about this on your own platforms.
This is what upsets me.
I think the only way is to first talk about it with each other.
It's about supporting each other's actions.
We've made a lot of possible videos.
Sometimes there have even been minor disrespectful incidents.
So those weren't our We are careful with many things,
but I think criticizing each other can also be the right thing to do.
A true friendship is when we criticize each other and
people who only ever compliment are just being superficial.
