Interview about Filming in India
I was like, wow, this is-
Hey, guys.
Hello, Zach. Nice to meet you.
Hi.
Congratulations on being here at TIFF.
Thank you.
Is there a specific country or location that you haven't gone to yet
that you would
like to film that would be, like, crazy or fun, like, similar to this movie?
You know, I've done, uh, a commercial in India,
but I've never shot a movie in
India.
Ah.
And I really think that, um,
even just in the small work that I did in India on the commercial,
I was like, wow, this is an expansive and incredible place.
So India is like one place I'd love to make a movie.
Okay, that's cool. I'm gonna let him know too.
What it comes down to is you and the camera, and, like,
can you make a good shot?
You know, like, it's like there's no like, um, there's nothing to fall
back on. There's no tricks. There's no like, um, we can fix this
later. There's any of that, you know?
And I, and I do think that, I do think that, like, as you, um,
as you, uh,
make a giant movie, you know, you have massive amount of equipment
behind you.
But in the end, like, the tip of the spear is the camera
and the thing that you're
filming. And in a weird way, making a movie at this scale, there's no
difference, right? It's like still, like, just where the rubber hits the
road, it's still, like, make, make a good shot.
And I think that that in the end was the, that was the challenge of this, but it
was also the reward of it. Because like, you know, with these guys and
everybody, we were able to pull it off.
We want to vote congratulate you. You have an incredible role career.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for taking the time, and #RoadToSpiderVerse still a thing?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I still say that don't I?
