Discussion on Football Player's Incident

isn't. You c- could anyone in football not forgive him-

It, espe-

... for kicking a plastic bottle?

And especially after such a great performance.

Yeah.

And you think to a manager, "Right, my guys have gotta get rewarded here with

a

good goal."

Yeah.

And he dives a bit, celebrates.

That's terrible, what he sees. Then I'm gonna boot this plastic bottle

somewhere.

That's it. Not causing any harm. And then what happens

is the fourth official

decides there's 10 seconds to go, I'm gonna make a name for myself.

You cannot kick a plastic bottle away like that.

I'm gonna f- I'm gonna tell the referee he kicked a

plastic bottle away.

He, he's kicked a plastic bottle away.

You what? He's kicked it away over there.

Right, we'll send you off for that. I'm gonna tell my mate, the referee.

He did what? Go to there. Up there.

Go up there.

Everybody's cheering this plastic bottle kicking. It's fantastic.

What a reception he's getting.

It's just ludicrous.

Yeah.

Absolutely ludicrous.

I mean, I mean, that shot there, it's almost biblical, isn't it?

With the, the baying crowd behind him and his arms outstretched.

It's r- And, and you actually, you can actually see-

A good man wronged

Exactly.

You can actually see him saying, "Hold this hands.

What did I do?"

Yeah.

Yeah.

And they two are going, "The plastic bottle." "He kicked a plastic

bottle."

I mean, to be fair, the Referees Association have said there

is gonna be an apology

given to him.

And quite rightly so as well.

They, they just, they, they just got that wrong.

Quite right.
