Discussion on Vatican II and Catholic Doctrine

These cardinals and bishops and popes of Vatican II are a deep-down refusal of truth.

And it's crucial, Archbishop Lefebvre said, they are blaspheming by pretending or giving to understand

that our Lord's religion is not the one true religion.

In other words, Jesus Christ is not God.

If you admit that God took human nature once, and only once, and founded a religion when he did so,

that's bound to be the one true religion which all men must accept and submit to.

Because this is the true God, taking the trouble to take human nature,

taking the trouble to die on the cross, to buy his church, so to speak.

How can you possibly, how can Catholic churchmen possibly pretend that other religions might in any way

be on an equal footing with that true religion?

And then we had Assisi, where the pope stood in the midst of several representatives,

official representatives of twelve false religions, six on one side, six on the other, on an equal footing.

As though he was just one amongst many.

What an insult to our Lord Jesus Christ.

And these are meant to be the servants of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It's infinitely serious. It's so serious.

The archbishop took his stand on these ancient and unchanging truths,

despite whatever the rest of the church did or said.

The rest of the church wanted to go off after Vatican II with religious liberty and ecumenism.

And the archbishop said, no, no way, impossible.
