First, I’m going to shorten my philtrum.

I’ll use the one from earlier to draw the shading.

This part is important.

Then, with what I just drew,

you can use an eyeshadow brush or so.

Use this to blend it out.

Okaaay.

See, even just this already—

C-Curl Lip.

It kind of gives that “emoji lip” look.

I really hate having a long philtrum,

so I like doing it like this.

If your philtrum is short, you don’t need to do this.

Heart Percent, shade number 02.

Take this kind of light pink

and apply it under the philtrum-shortening line you drew.

Like this.

When you overline your lips,

you can overdraw this part here,

but this cupid’s bow here,

I overdraw this part too,

however, this edge here

do not overdraw it.

If you overdraw here, it feels way too overdone.

And on the bottom lip,

only overdraw the very center.

Do not overdraw this edge.

If I leave it like this, it still looks a bit crazy,

so with the brush we blended with earlier,

just a regular eyeshadow brush,

a slightly smaller eyeshadow brush,

I’ll blend it out.

You might think, “Isn’t this fine left sharp?”

But leaving it sharp is no good.

That softly blurred nuance

does not come out if you leave it sharp.

If you’re someone who’s like,

“I’m fine with just a simple shortening line,”

this completely kills that ‘I want to draw it on’ vibe,

and the soft blur

makes it feel like cuteness is at max.

See, you get it?

That hazy look—

that haziness is what matters.
