Canada's Bill on Homeless Photography

The Liberal government in Canada has set a bill to try to make it illegal

to photograph or videotape a homeless person or post a picture

of a homeless person. Now, here's a little secret.

Authoritarianism doesn't come with jackboots and sunglasses all the

time. It comes from an incremental infringement

on the rights of the

citizenry. And one of the things that is a hallmark of an authoritarian

regime is they prevent the populace from documenting what

the government is doing to the detriment of the people.

Essentially what it means is, in North Korea, you can't film how poor a

neighborhood is, or the government will arrest you.

And now we have it in Canada, a western democracy.

You can't film how bad the streets have become as a direct

result of the government's mismanagement, or you can go to jail.

That is authoritarianism masquerading as compassion, and

Canadians need to wake up to the fact that in front of our faces,

the government is

destroying our downtown cores such that we have zombie wastelands, and

you as a, a citizen journalist can't take a picture

or video of it to share

it to people in other jurisdictions so they know what's going on in Canada.

This is absolute lunacy, and Canadians better wake up before it's

too

late. I'm the Rogue Lawyer, and please follow for more.
