Understanding Catholic Mass and Protestantism
I didn't know that the Catholic mass, they believe that
that is literally the connection point between heaven and earth when the
mass is celebrated. I didn't know that.
I just thought that, you know, Baptists have their church service,
Catholics have
their church service, and we all do it in our own different
ways.
Catholics take it to another level, man.
I just found out they believe that when you participate in the mass,
like the mass is the connection point between heaven and earth.
They believe the, like the angels and the saints in heaven
are partaking in the mass with you at the same time.
The depth of that,
man, you guys gotta understand, like going from Baptist
and just like going to
church and listening to a sermon for half an hour, have a good week,
to there actually being like a reason and a
purpose and like super deep
reverence behind every little thing they do is,
is wild, man. And this, this whole concept of like heaven
and earth
touching, it's so fascinating to me, and I just love it.
I just love it. It gives a whole another depth to w-
the Catholicism, man.
It's just something... And I hate, I hate to sound like a broken record,
but it's
like,
it really does feel like Protestantism stripped away
the depth and the beauty of not just like the exterior things of the
faith, but the internal things. Like things that used to have a deep
and meaningful
purpose to it, like in certain Protestant traditions,
it just no longer does.
And it's a shame, man, because the more I learn about this,
the more I feel like,
man, I wish I had that. Like I wish I grew up having
that in my church service.
I wish I grew up with someone telling me that my faith was this
deep every Sunday. And man, I just...
It's almost criminal the fact that people can grow up in
Protestant traditions not knowing that this is the way it used to be for
everybody
