Discussion on Operation Warp Speed and Vaccines

Say about Operation Warp Speed,

it was an extraordinary accomplishment and demonstration of leadership by

President Trump.

That's my position. We promote the measles vaccine.

The measles vaccine prevents measles in ninety-seven percent of the people who

take

it. I've always said that.

Agree with me that the president, that the president deserves a Nobel Prize

for Operation Warp Speed?

Yeah, absolutely, Senator. That's phenomenal.

Let me ask you.

The reason that Operation Warp Speed was genius is it did something

that had never been done. I don't think any president

but President Trump could do

it. It got the vaccine to market that was perfectly matched to the

virus at that time when it was badly needed.

I'd say the generalized misconception

is that I'm anti-vaccine. I'm not anti-vaccine.

In fact,

I'm putting hundreds of millions of dollars into

developing new vaccines for, for example, universal

flu vaccine.
