So I started supporting Syrian revolution since

2014 uh which was because I

saw a documentary film about Abdul Baset Al-Sarout.

He's my forever icon and may God uh bless him.

Um he was uh shouting in the

screaming in the film that are you still ignoring our

cries uh brother and I felt he was talking to my spirit

and my soul directly. So after watching the movie I

immediately started uh organizing a film screening event which

led to uh my organization later uh called Stand with Syria

Japan SSJ. Uh but I kept going I kept

defending the revolution because I believed in Syrian people

and their dreams uh of this country and uh

thankfully we we achieved uh the liberation of this country.

So I moved to Damascus after the liberation immediately because

Syria became my homeland during the past ten years

and

small ambition came to me to open

first authentic Japanese restaurant

here in Damascus and in Syria

because for me this is more than restaurant.

Komenmaru my restaurant is more than restaurant.

What I'm trying to do here is to create

space for Syrian people,

space filled with love, joy, happiness and

comfort because

Syrian people deserve it, Syria deserves it and its people deserve

it.
